Supermarket Sweep

a 31 year old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, shortly after causing rougly $1000 in damage to the Mr.Z's grocery store on N. Courtland St. in East Stroudsburg. He walked into the store and immediately began yelling at the workers in the bakery department. The man then smashed a few display racks, smashed coffee pots, threw food, and knocked over a few racks of merchandise. Workers in the department tried to calm him down. The man stormed out of the grocery store. He decided to take out one last bit of aggression on one of the cars in the parking lot by breaking the passenger side mirror of the nearest car, which turned out to be owned by East Stroudsburg Borough manager Jim Phillips. Phillips saw the crazed man walk over to the Sunoco gas station and called the police. A Stroud Area regional police officer arrested the man and he is currently being held at the Monroe County Correctional Facility.

The photo taken below shows some of the damage caused by this man. As you can see, food is all over the floor, coffee pots are smashed, display racks are also smashed. We'd like to thank Angry J, long time friend of the Gary In The Morning Show, who works at the Mr. Z's in East Stroudsburg. Co-workers told Angry J what was happening and he went to see if he could help calm the man down. He took this picture with his camera phone. You can find Angry J in the produce department.
